Authorities generally encourage members of the public to hand suspected offenders over to the police rather than subjecting them to public punishment or humiliation. This helps ensure that allegations are properly investigated and handled according to the law.

The video has continued to attract attention online, particularly because of the unexpected sight of a suspected thief turning into the centre of attraction through his dancing.
