WAHALA! Video of Prophet Squeezing a Woman’s Breast during miracle section Attracts Attention and Sanctions
Popular Nigerian cleric, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, widely known as Odumeje, has come under renewed criticism on social media following the circulation of a video allegedly showing him engaging in unusual physical contact with a female miracle seeker during a church deliverance session.
In the viral video , the cleric appears to touch and squeeze the woman’s breast while carrying out what is presented as a spiritual intervention. The video has triggered widespread debate, with many social media users questioning whether such physical contact is appropriate during a religious healing or deliverance session.
Some netizens expressed anger over the incident, with several sarcastically declaring that the cleric should be “sentenced to death” for what they described as unacceptable conduct. However, these comments are online reactions and do not represent an actual court judgment or criminal sentence.
The controversy has also renewed discussions about Odumeje’s unconventional approach to deliverance and miracle demonstrations. The Onitsha-based preacher, who leads the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, has built a reputation for dramatic spiritual performances and unusual methods during church programmes. His activities have repeatedly generated both support from followers and criticism from members of the public.
In previous public statements, Odumeje has strongly defended the authenticity of the miracles associated with his ministry. He has also attracted controversy over his dramatic claims about supernatural powers and his approach to spiritual warfare.
The incident’s video has therefore sparked another wave of debate over the boundaries of physical contact during religious practices, particularly when women are involved. Critics argue that spiritual leaders should maintain clear professional and ethical boundaries when interacting physically with members of their congregations.
