WAHALA! Two Arrested Over Alleged Attempt to Steal iPhone 15 at MAPOLY

Two men have been arrested by security operatives at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, Ogun State, following an alleged attempt to steal an iPhone 15 on the institution’s campus.
According to the video and  preliminary reports, the suspects allegedly travelled from Sango-Ota to the polytechnic with the intention of stealing the mobile phone. Their alleged plan was, however, disrupted after they were reportedly noticed and confronted by campus security personnel and some bystanders.
The intervention reportedly led to the arrest of the two men, who were subsequently taken into custody as authorities commenced investigations into the incident.
The circumstances surrounding the alleged attempted theft remain under investigation. Authorities are expected to establish how the suspects gained access to the campus and whether they had previously been involved in similar incidents.
Investigators are also reportedly looking into the possibility that the suspects could be connected to other theft cases within or around the institution.
Students and staff have been urged to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities to campus security or the appropriate authorities.
