Arsenal Supporters Organize Sanitation Exercise at Mile One Market in Port Harcourt, Donate Cleaning Materials

Arsenal supporters in Port Harcourt have demonstrated their commitment to community development after organizing a sanitation exercise at the Mile One Market on Friday as part of the ongoing 2026 Arsenal Nigeria Converge.

The supporters visited the popular market to clean various sections of the environment, removing dirt and helping to improve the general hygiene and appearance of the marketplace.

In the sanitation video , the Arsenal supporters also used the opportunity to encourage traders and other market users to maintain proper sanitation practices. They stressed the importance of keeping public spaces clean, particularly busy markets where large numbers of people gather daily.

In addition to the cleaning exercise, the supporters donated several cleaning materials to the market to support ongoing sanitation efforts. The items included brooms, scrubbing brushes and other cleaning equipment.

The gesture was welcomed as an example of how football supporters can use sporting activities to promote positive social impact and contribute to the communities where they live and operate.

The 2026 Arsenal Nigeria Converge will continue on Saturday with a football tournament and other sporting activities at the Rivers State University Stadium in Port Harcourt.

The Saturday programme is expected to attract Arsenal supporters, football enthusiasts and other members of the public for a day filled with football, games, entertainment and community engagement.

Beyond the excitement surrounding the sport, the activities highlight the growing role of football supporters’ groups in promoting social responsibility, unity and community development.

The sanitation initiative at Mile One Market has therefore added a community-focused dimension to this year’s Arsenal Nigeria Converge, combining football passion with practical efforts to make the local environment cleaner and healthier.
